I am so excited to receive this months issue of NZ House & Garden. I love this magazine and never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined seeing my face inside the pages. This month on page 162 there is a lovely book review on ‘Real Food Everyday’. Thank you Sally Butters for writing such a complimentary article about my new book.
“Just about every healthy eating promoter and food blogger has a slightly different take on what constitutes good nutrition and what we should or (more often) shouldn’t be eating. It can be a minefield of fads and conflicting information. Among it all though, those who must avoid certain ingredients and cooks keen to try new ways will find inspiration and some interesting recipes. Whangarei raised, Australia based Caldwell eschews processed food, gluten, grains, dairy and refined sugar. This is her second cookbook, with 90 easy and appealing, made from scratch recipe covering, breakfast, nibbles, salads & sides, mains, desserts, picnic fair and baking. Coconut flour, oil and milk, chia seeds, dates, almond, cashews, honey and maple syrup need to be on your shopping list for these. Coeliacs will appreciate the range of cakes, loaves and breads (including wraps, crackers and focaccia) and there are some great sounding, family friendly meals like chicken lasagne with cauliflower sauce. Even junkfood junkies could be won over by the delicious chocolate and raspberry chia parfait, and the festive truffle jar would make a cute home made gift for health conscious friends.” Words by Sally Butters.
Go and grab a copy this month for lots of wonderful & inspiring home ideas.
